Florence, Collegio alla Querce: an editorial shoot between grandeur and floral lightness
Some places speak before you even begin to work. Collegio alla Querce, in Florence, is one of them. A former chapel transformed into an exceptional event venue, its white arches, green marble floors and gilded wooden sunburst create a setting of rare majesty. In April 2025, we had the privilege of designing the florals for an extraordinary editorial here, alongside an incredible team of vendors.
This project is one of the most beautiful we worked on in 2025. It captures exactly what we want to achieve with flowers: creating something that speaks to the architecture, honours the light of the space, and gives emotional depth to every image.
Collegio alla Querce is one of Florence's most exclusive addresses. Originally a religious college, the building has been carefully restored while preserving its neoclassical architecture.
Our floral vision: a garden placed inside a chapel
For this project, we worked on two levels. The first: the round table with individual floral arrangements at each place setting and a central ground installation a true wild garden, lush and colourful, that replaces the traditional centrepiece and creates the effect of nature erupting into a sacred space.
The colour palette was chosen to respond to the particular quality of light in Florence in April: warm and soft tones peach, apricot, gentle mauve, off-white, moss green, grasses.
The idea was to create a contrast between the strictness of the architecture and the organic freedom of the flowers.
The ceremony: a floral arch in the theatre
Alongside the reception, we designed the ceremony decor in an unusual space — the theatre. Two large, asymmetric floral columns framed the couple, with a garden as a backdrop, forming a living painting.
Flowers included orange and mauve parrot tulips, peach garden roses, limonium, tall grasses and foliage.
This shoot is a demonstration of what Botanique Bazar can bring to your wedding in France. We don't simply deliver flowers. We design a complete visual experience, tailored to each venue, each quality of light, each couple.
We regularly work on high-end weddings across France, Provence, the French Riviera, the Alps.
